It’s about getting up in the morning and asking yourself: “Am I satisfied with everything as it is?” “What if I could be there, instead of here?” Jim's book is about what you can do to change your current situation or improve your future. He offers the reader insights and examples that may make you uncomfortable, challenge your assumptions, or even gets you angry or inspired to created an AH-HA o see your own potential. He challenges your thinking and offers a foundation for growth.
This book is really no different than going to a hardware store and buying a hammer. It is a tool and what you build with it is up to you. The first time you picked up a hammer you probably didn’t know how to use it, but after time you may find that with the proper some advice, lots of practice and a project in mind you may have found that you could create something you needed or wanted. During the process you may have hit your thumb with the hammer and experienced pain, but you eventually you picked up the hammer again. Why? Because a hammer is the best way to hit a nail on the head. Tools are just that…tools. They are simply a means to an end. This book is not, as Jim says,the final answer but the start of asking more questions. He challenges you to get up in the morning and ask yourself, “What am I going to “shift” today that will get me better results than I achieved yesterday?” One certainty in life is that Shift Happens! and you can either let it get the best of you or bring out the best in you. And bring the hammer. You may need it.
